HexSight™ Version 4.0 Provides Color Imaging Capabilities
Vancouver, June 10th, 2008- LMI Technologies (LMI) improves HexSight™ pattern matching software by integrating color imaging capabilities and GigE Vision camera support into version 4.0.
The HexSight 4.0 software provides color based geometric pattern matching that is supported by Gigabit Ethernet camera acquisition. This PC based technology provides a comprehensive machinery library that utilizes a well established set of tools that include:
• Vectorized descriptions of grey-scale and color images to locate key features regardless of size, rotation, non-linear lighting, occlusions, clutter, and contrast reversal
• Image processing and region sampling, color segmentation, and metrology tools for sub-pixel edge extraction and dimensional measurement
• OCR and symbology tools supporting standard SEMI fonts and decoding for most 1D or 2D barcodes
• A Process Manager that easily strings together multiple tools into an execution sequence customized to your application
